FAQ - "On a board like this there can be a lot of individual images. There is little need for a file size over 50k most of the time, maybe 150k for animations. This is by no means definitive, but certainly multiple images of 250K+ is unnecessary."
The need for Sigma5's pics to be larger than 50k is that they're always superbly shopped and very detailed.
