so far has been painfree
got a very polite call from bt telling me of a fault in my area so the broadband registration will be delayed for five days, then asked me about the beta testing programmes for customers and are also sending me an adsl2 modem for upto 24mb broadband

They have been promising it in London for ages. And the thing with ADSL 2 is that it is UP TO ( very clever words ) 24MB but according to industry magazines is usually around 4mb. At least with Cable it's 10MB all day every day ( plus it's going to be 30MB within 18 months and 100MB within 5 years. I understand that ADSL2 has hit it's cap already. Each to his own )

Yeah I've been on NTLHell but it just bemuses me. I was an origina C&W customer about 8 years ago. NTL took over and introduced broadband. I've been with them ever since, had it in 7 different properties including my business premises. It's currently in 2 properties of mine, it's in my dad's, my mum's and my auntie's. Apart from a few network hiccups over 6-7 years I've never had a problem and will never move.
Considering C&W are trying and failing to sell off their adsl 2 business ( bulldog) because they can't afford to run it.
