# To be fair, it does seem this is the only image in the world (other than porn)
that doesn't go down well here.

# No, absolutely, I agree with you
I think it's even more horrific when all thats been done to it is its been quoed.

Some joker'll do that now.

# I think it's because the pain and suffering is inflicted on innocents
I don't mind people hurting themselves in stupid ways, but dead animals or people suffering at the hands of others just isn;t funny.

# quite right too
although there are not that many that feature naked, burnt, frightened children in pain, it must be said ;)

# Ha, yes, very true.
Thank god etc.

No more burning children jokes...

Unless I've left them on the BBQ too long.

# Mainly it's just this picture
it's just that little bit too far for even this site's advanced sense of post-modernism to disassociate it from genuine suffering. Don't worry, you're definitely not the first, but steer clear of this one in future, ta. :)

# Hmm
If this pic is out of bounds, then I suggest the Tavistock Square bus pic is too. It's the only pic that remotely offends me. This question is though... where would it end if we declared pics beyond the pale?
(, Mon 3 Jul 2006, 10:32, archived)
# I doubt it will ever end.

# Hahahahahaahaha
Damn safari and its inability to warn me what site I'm visiting!
(, Mon 3 Jul 2006, 10:44, archived)
# It would end in chaos and rioting
as the best things always do.

I think it's the simple fact that the photo is probably the most singular representation of how much suffering actually results from the 'collateral damage' of war. There's no other image I can think of that is quite so potent at reminding us just how fucking stupid and despicable we can sometimes be as a species.

# Kim's a great lady.
She'd laugh her ass off on some of them.
A simple quo might not get one tho'.
