# I got a new CD yesterday
its got psp7, Dreamweaver MX, Flash MX, Fireworks MX, and Sound Forge on it.

Which should I try and learn to use first?

# Sound forge
music - woo.
(, Mon 6 Jan 2003, 12:30, archived)
# Ive got no idea what sound forge is.
I just asked for Potatoshop 7, and got loads of things I didnt ask for.

# Music!! Woo!
But wavelab is the one that you want, oooh oooh oooh...
(, Mon 6 Jan 2003, 12:33, archived)
# I have wavelab
and never really use it, as I have reason, rebirth, and cakewalk too.

I have tons of software, and never get round to learning how to use it.

# cool edit pro's easier to use imo
that's the first time I've ever used "imo"

anyway, yeah, the interface is better on cool edit I reckon - soundforge is expensive but clunky, and seems to have been designed with "those whose computers only use one mouse button" in mind.
Just my thruppeny bit.

# I'm sorry
Pro Tools beats all in my eyes, and yes - even SADIE. But then I did used to sell Pro Tools, how god like and fannytasic it is...

# gloob
that's the actual noise of me being jealous mealous.

Although I'm using Logic now and that rocks the donkey.

# Yes,
It is good, and you know you can run Logic as a front end to Pro Tools - with all the DSP Plugins too... Yummy...
(, Mon 6 Jan 2003, 12:49, archived)
# yes
but it's all sooo expensive. And frankly, who needs it? The less gear you have, the more creative you have to be.

# fireworks is tops
but i would say that as that is all i have.

# Them all!
I'll teach you.
All I ask is a can of coke and a packet of crisps :)
(, Mon 6 Jan 2003, 12:32, archived)
# sounds good to me.
what flavour crisps?

# On a similar theme... (minor threadjack)...
any Kazaa users out there? Do you use Kazaa light or kazaa big? Someone here is using big version, which I don't mind, but it's using 99% of CPU time and fucking up everything else.

Anyone got any thoughts? Unless thius can be solved or Light is better, then it's history.

# artamnesia recommended this yesterday
www.dietk.com/
i haven't tried it yet
(edit)it's an add on to kazaa that stops ads etc.
(, Mon 6 Jan 2003, 12:38, archived)
# use lite
no ads, popups, spyware etc.
(, Mon 6 Jan 2003, 12:38, archived)
# Light has all the spyware
removed, so use it. Full Kazaa may well be using your cycles as part of a distributed computing project, or to serve ads.
(, Mon 6 Jan 2003, 12:39, archived)
# the bastards...
It's history... Light on the way.
(, Mon 6 Jan 2003, 12:43, archived)
# i use lite
cos i don't like all the spyware that comes with the big version. i think it runs better cos it doesn't have all that.
