# I bought what I thought was a pleccy once
It turned out it was a catfish or something and it ate all my other fish - the bastard.

Oh and 'Ning' peeps.

catfish aren't

# mine aren't
they don't even eat bacon.

# Nice one!
They live for fucking ages (quite happily) out of water too. I used to put mine on the coffee table and laugh at them.

*edit: have you tried them with bloodworm (gamma radiated)? They seem to like that stuff.
(, Wed 22 Nov 2006, 11:00, archived)
# they only tend to feed after all the others have had their nosh
so they go straight for the pleco wafers.

I occasionaly use bloodworm and other stuff, but it gets eaten up by all the carnivores first!

# Pleccy sounds a bit like 'speccy',
as in ZX Spectrum 48K. That was a good computer. I know nothing about fish.

# mmmm rubber keys
can you get kboards like that these days?
(, Wed 22 Nov 2006, 10:49, archived)
# No.
Not really. Real computing fun died when keyboards went plastic.
What a horrible, hard-keyed world we live in now. :(

# ^ this.
it's so wearing on the fingertips

# I have a glow-in-the-dark rubber keyboard!
But it's shite and unreliable.

# Alan Sugar!!?
He's the bastard that *got rid* of speccy rubber funs*. Don't you remember what he did with the Spectrum +2?

*Except that the 48K+ and 128K had already de-rubbered. :(
(, Wed 22 Nov 2006, 10:54, archived)
# I only used his name so I didn't have to try and spell entrepreneur..
*Ahem*

I Had a 48k and a Plus 2A...
48k was a lot more Cuddly..

And Alan Sugar was is and ever shall be.. a Twatpie
(, Wed 22 Nov 2006, 10:57, archived)
# I looked at his website the other day.
His company only sell two things; a shaver of some sort and an animated electronic Alan Sugar Apprentice doll.

It's fantastic; get a business man with nothing to sell onto a TV programme about being the apprentice of a 'powerful businessman' in order for his company to be able to actually sell a product. :)

# Yeah.. On the American one.. It's Trump... Who is actually amazingly Successful...
(Despite Being a Prink)
Sugar on the other hand is mainly an Asset Stripper who runs down Companies and crashes bad Football teams...

And those Planted Contestants have to suck up and say...
Ooooh You're such an inspiration...
(, Wed 22 Nov 2006, 11:04, archived)
# Trump's no genius
I read somewhere that given the amount of money he inherited, he'd have been just as rich putting the cash in the bank at normal interest rates. Sugar, for all his faults, is a self-made man...
