# it's not the slow lane!
it's just the other 2 are overtaking lanes.

# Yes, I know that
it's just more amusing than calling it the inside lane.

I always have good lane discipline :P

# I tend to use all the lanes
in a sort of Out-Run style. I find this works the best.

# It's so much easier to steer
with the d-pad than a conventional steering wheel, I find. Someone (possibly those Pimp My Ride people) should do this for real. Now there's an idea for the newsletter.
A vehicle conversion I would actually pay for.

I veer wildy from the outside overtaking lane to the inside lane of the M1/M62 interchange, effectively crossing 6 lanes of traffic, just miraculously missing everything, just because I wasn't paying attention and nearly missed my turn off

# I deliberately ram the side of people sat in the middle lane
and force them in to the slow lane.

If it's approaching a bridge I sometimes keep pushing until they hit the main support.

# and when you're in the car?

# i have three techinques
1) the undertake and scowl

2) the right up the arse and flash

3) the swing wildly across three lanes close behind and then again inches in front

sometimes works, sometimes backfires.

thank god for a good engine and a heavy right foot
(, Fri 27 Apr 2007, 13:42, archived)
# and how are those techniques any less dangerous?
(, Fri 27 Apr 2007, 13:44, archived)
# they're not.
they're just not as annoying

plus if you can undertake then you should, as clearly the person is in the wrong lane, not you.
(, Fri 27 Apr 2007, 13:47, archived)
# Right up the arse is a bit dangerous
What if they slam their brakes on for some reason?

Sorry, I don't drive but that seems obvious to me.

# it is dnagerous
however you will have one lane either side to swerve into anyway!

# I wouldn't do the 'right up the arse' technique.
I've been taking pictures of everyone that tailgates my friend when I'm in her car. I'm thinking I may make a website of 'twats that think a P plate on the car in front means 'please behave like a cunt''

(, Fri 27 Apr 2007, 13:46, archived)
# it's only middle lane people that get tailgated
if your P plate driving friend employs good lane discipline then they have nothing to fear from me!

talkgating when you have nowhere to go annoys me greatly also. that's where learning the point at which 'your brake lights come on but the brakes don't actually apply themselves' comes in handy.
