If you read "bitter" for "bored", then I guess I'm bitter. Doesn't really matter: there's still a lot of unfunny monkeon crap that undeservedly gets on the FP.

If my shite had been FP'd then he might have an argument. Otherwise, no.

you are a victim of your consistantly high quality/volume of work and having a low number. you should take a leaf out of my book - post one new pic per month which took half an hour and isn't that funny :D

it's not really up to you, but the mods,
and at the end of the day, monkeon's work always
gets a good appreciation from most of the B3tans
posting at the time as we appreciate his style of
subverted and distinctly 'different' humourous
viewpoint on things.
Just because you find some of it unfunny, it's no reason to say it shouldn't be FP'd.
If you were a mod, however, THEN you'd have a point
At the end of the day, FP's are a nice pat on the back every now and then,
but it shouldn't be the be all and end all of posting, we do it, cos we enjoy it

of oneself (or one's friends) on the back that I take issue with.

have you actually ASKED him, or do you have reason to believe this is so?
It may be that the mods like him and his style as much as the present /boarders do :)

is based on the extremely high number of FPs versus the hummus-level of the posts. (And the very low ID)
No, I have not asked him.

No, I have not asked him.

either people like posts, or they don't, who KNOWS
what will get FP'd? that's part of the mystery. He just happens
to have a higher success rate than most, it shouldn't
devalue the posts which make it there

is that there is no mystery: when a monkeon post arrives on the board, one knows it will be on the FP without even having to look at it. And that seems rather pointless to me.

as I said, he just has a higher success rate than most of us,
so fair play to him for doing stuff that mods like
The FP isn't be be all and end all of B3ta,
it's the creativeness
and the ability to appreciate creativeness that counts,
the FP is just a nice acknowledgement of good shopping/original thinking/popular hummus

never seen one that wasn't. But then perhaps I'm not on here enough.

It would be completely pointless fping your own pictures because it takes away all the fun of trying to get one for starters.
I assume my work gets fpd because it appeals to certain moderator's tastes, and - unlike your amazing head swap pictures and fuckwitted jokes about 'botty sex' - I at least try and do something original.
Now.. what do you add to this community exactly?

But I am not aware that that is a prerequisite to being a member of it.

I don't think it is unreasonable to have "uncreatives" being members of a creative community. For example, not all visitors to art galleries are artists.
I enjoy viewing all the funny stuff on here, but the fact I don't post pictures myself does not IMO preclude me from being critical.

but unfortunatly b3ta works on an unspoken popularity contest before anything else.
this pic however is very woo imo, but some of the stuff on the FP at the moment is not as good as stuff on the popular page.
it's the way b3ta works. personally i would just avoid taking the FP seriously; what does it actually mean to anyone at the end of the day? there's more worrying things in life.
