can somone tell me how to compress gif files?

# if its too big, link it, then it doesn't matter about compressing it
put a screenshot or still image on the page to direct you to the gif, and it'll
save the bumraping you'll get for posting a huge animation.
please link this until you can optimise it :)

hmm, just google 'animation or gif optimisation' then - that should help you.

there are also free animation optimisers available online if you google for it..

Irfanview is free off the web, and makes things nice and easy to optimise :)
