# You'd need to have seen Doctor Who
If you didn't watch it on Saturday, you'd be justified in being lost
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 10:54, archived)
# I don't like the new dr who :(
But okies!
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 10:56, archived)
# Actually, Saturday's was a corker
Best one this series: they've taken a while to get into their stride
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 10:56, archived)
# me and my housemate
had to go to the pub for a bit afterwards to calm down
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 10:58, archived)
# I liked Blink as well
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 10:58, archived)
# Yeah, good old Stephen Moffat
consistently the best writer of each series so far.
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 11:01, archived)
# Blink was the best ep for aaages, imho
I've not seen Saraday's yet, we had friends over

# Watch it before next week
It's a two parter
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 11:03, archived)
# I like how they've
obviously found an old, dusty box at the top of some shelves marked "Decent Sci-fi show script concepts" (well, for the 2-3 before last anyway)
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 11:07, archived)
# Cool
its bound to be onsky like a zillion times so ill hopefully see it.
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 11:08, archived)
# yeah
it'll be on BBC3 or you could come round and watch it on my sofa . . .

(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 11:17, archived)
# what an odd sofa!
surely it would be better to watch it on your TV?
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 11:25, archived)
# The last few have been rather good
But I fear they may be soon about to return to the humdrum usualness of old plot things, and I shall get bored again.

# Doesn't help that I just want to slap Martha Jones
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 10:58, archived)
# Haha
yeah. She's such a troublemaker.

"Martha. Stand over there and don't irritate anyone or press any buttons that say 'Warning, do not press this button'"

"Awright! ... Hey, you, what does this button do? I dare you to press it"
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 11:01, archived)
# And for a trained doctor
She's shit at giving CPR

# I didn't think anyone
could annoy me more than BMAHEF*

Billie, Mickey and her Extended Family
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 11:04, archived)
# I could have done without the extended family
But Rose was alright. Sort of. Better than MJ anyway.

# Russell Grant
should be banned from writing any episodes of Dr. Who.

I also get upset at his inability to grasp timescales, with his 'travelling billions years into the future' to find a society of human people only a decade or so more advanced than us what we are now, on some 'New Earth'.

The travelling to the end of time, 'trillions of years in the future', to find a human society only slightly more advanced than we are now, but with 'future humans' that have evolved piercings. That's evolution for you.
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 11:11, archived)
# Silly wheelybird!
Did you not know that for the next seventy trillion trillion years, every single race in the entire Universe evolves, and continues to evolve
from a London casting agency located a mile or so to the east of the BBC headquarters?

Also, major scientific plot points shall be reduced, in the near future to fleeting comments by leading characters.

E.g. the End Of The Universe will occur when someone notices that there's no stars in the sky (People will also have become immune to "Not Having A Sun")
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 11:17, archived)
# Well we *did* spend a million years as sentient gas
and another million as downloads.

Pity about Chantho. Definitely the hottest alien we've had in a while, unless you're into cat nuns.
(, Mon 18 Jun 2007, 12:32, archived)
# I get really annoyed about the timescale thing too
I understand the irony of complaining about scientific errors in a series about time travel, and I know its limited by budget, but they should at least try!

5 billion years into the future...and we havent evolved even slightly?!? And the whole reverting to the same form thing? riiiight...

I just wish there was a chance to come up with a truly scary villain, and a perfect Doctor/Assistant combination...

(I really liked family of blood though...though MJ can't act that well, Matron and The Doctor rocked)

(And wasnt the master the scientist from the really shit War of the Worlds that blackmoon overdubbed?)

# 's arse!
yes please!
