# if anyone's interested

some more ignored hard work from last night.

# aaaaaaw didums

# well it gets my goat up
when everyone's licking each others arse over some moronic stick man
that someone's managed to make in 5 seconds with no pun and you've
just been sweating profusely only to find you're being ignored.
Not my policy to gripe but it does happen a helluva lot here.
Sorry prodigy69 rant over ;)

# welcome to b3ta

# It may have just been because people were instinctively switching off to anything with a muppet in it
I know I was. I like this one, though, and don't remember seeing it last night :p
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 12:59, archived)
# Yep, them's the brokes.

# Goat?

I made this and posted it around 6pm
didn't get much comment, wasn't worth much.
But it certainly ain't worth its own (second) thread... so I dumped it here!
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:02, archived)
# well
I like it ;)

# 6pm is a bad time
as is 11pm
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:15, archived)
# Yes,
it happens.

It pisses me off a bit too. But don't have a go at those stick figures; they take me hours to draw!
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:03, archived)
# life is indeed a bitch
been there got the stick man tee shirt.
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:04, archived)
# Thing is though
Pics that get flamed make for the longest threads.
TJs and irrelevant conversations occur pretty much randomly and can bump threads to ridiculous lengths when the original pic was nothing special.
People get bored of compos and bandwagons really quickly.
Sometimes some of the best stuff gets the fewest responses - proper arty stuff for example.
Sometimes the board is just so fast or so slow that a thread gets pretty much overlooked.
sometimes stuff that is pretty good gets overlooked because it is surrounded by amazingly ace stuff, or utter shite.

All in all there are hundreds of reasons why you can't judge the 'worth' of your pic by the number of replies, and reposting in a new thread is never going to make you popular.

Personally, I just hate fucking Star wars.
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:10, archived)
# One of my joys in life
is to refer to Star Wars as Star Trek, and to pretend not to know the difference. This tends to annoy Star Wars/Star Trek fans.
It makes me happy.

:D

# i'm with you guys on this.
not that anyone gives a pigs burp.
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:16, archived)
# agreed
just sometimes any of the above reasons can vex you when your making an effort.
Or at least trying. Just having a crap day so ignore me anyway ;)
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:23, archived)
# here's a tip:
if it's quiet and you want lots of responses
don't post it

wait until the daytime, and see
(there is a chance that you don't get any responses then either, though)
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 12:51, archived)
# You are the stern father figure of b3ta.

Your advice is good, if a little intimidating.

i think the fact that i am chained to a computer for 8hours a day, and b3ta being my only escape has turned me into a tedious wankbag

(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 12:57, archived)
# Is he popular though, or is it just the tits he draws?
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 12:58, archived)
# He does seem to be the victim
of auto-accolade.

I suspect he bribes people. With JELLY BABIES!

# That's because he's good at drawing, though.
But I never respond when he posts furfaggotry. STOP PUTTING FURRY TITS IN MY FACE AAAAGH
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:02, archived)
# He sure is good at the drawings.
And he can be funny too. Bless him. But I swear people respond with praise upon seeing his username and don't bother to wait for the picture to load.
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:05, archived)
# really bloody funny...but the furry stuff does my head in :)
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:08, archived)
# Exactly.
I also love the Denizens because I'm a fan of anything evil, dark or shadowy. If only he posted more stuff like that ;_;

It wouldn't have to be Denizens, either. I want to see what monsters he can draw. WITHOUT GODDAMN TITS
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:09, archived)
# Well, like I said, if he's good at drawing the picture is going to be good
Because he has the skillz. People are not really praising the picture, rather the skill behind it.

Probably. It's hard to tell if people are praising an image or its creator, really :P
(, Fri 13 Jul 2007, 13:08, archived)
# Yes,
but the furry stuff, while technically good, is as bland as you like. And this site purports to be about humour over technique.

Praise the humour! Down with technique!
