I pronounce it in accordance with this joke, but I do not consider others to be wrong.
I pronounce either and neither in both ways, depending on the surrounding words and the air pressure in Westward Ho!

It occurs to me that scone and gone always rhyme
since one who pronounces scone like on will also pronounce gone like on, but one who says scone as in 'phone will also say gone to rhyme with cone.
