# more old shyte
just clearing out my .gif bucket and found this one. I did it last year, something to do with some wanky american TV series I never watched - I just wanted to do the 'eyebrow thing'

McShyte by name, shyte by nature

# :)
Nice wank-action!

Slight TJ: Someone may shout at you about the size of this.

The FAQ says:

"For file size, a still image will rarely need to be over 50KB and an animation should preferably be under 200KB, but anything up to 250 KB is acceptable."

If this means that 50KB is a hard file size limit, beyond which people are justified in having a go at the poster, I reckon this needs rewording. As it stands, I always thought it meant that 250KB was the acceptable maximum size for any image...

Again I know I'm in a minority here. Am I just shit stirring? Possibly! But I'm bored.

# my rule of thumb is
anything under about 60 Kb is fine
animations under 250 Kb are fine

static images over 60 Kb should be 10 times greater for each 25 Kb with a maximum of around 200 Kb.

and I note that you really don't need more than 70Kb for any jpg smaller than say 600x400 pixels unless it's really very detailed.

# it's an animation dumbass..so it's fine ;)

anyway Tribe is on bbc2 so I'ma gonna bugger off for a bit :)

# It's not rocket science, it's distinctly split into still images first part, animations after, to keep it simple (I think?)
it reads (to me, anyway) as 50k for still images, and preferably 200k for animations, but up to 250k for them is fine :)
