click on the 'favourite moments' in the text to hear some sample audio clips - I recommend starting with the one called 'Samantha' or 'sound charades'

(, Tue 9 Oct 2007, 12:09, archived)
# RECORDED FOR TRAINING PURPOSES
THURSDAYS AT 11 PM.

YOU'VE MISSED THE FIRST 2 OR THREE SHOWS ALREADY BUT ONE OF THEM WILL BE ON LISTEN AGAIN STILL.
(, Tue 9 Oct 2007, 12:11, archived)
# cool!
i don't have speakers though...
are you one of the winners then?

(, Tue 9 Oct 2007, 12:15, archived)
# HE'S ONE OF THE ACTORS (he's the bloke who takes a sweet off Vinnie Jones in that AA advert).
I'M ONE OF THE WINNERS OF THE COMPO WHO GETS TO WRITE FOR THE SHOW.

US POOR WRITERS AREN'T LISTED ON THE WEBSITE BUT I GET A CREDIT ON THE BROADCAST.

I HAVE NO GREAT AMBITIONS TO BE A COMEDY WRITER, I'D NEVER WRITTEN A SKETCH BEFORE - I JUST SAW THE COMPO AND THOUGHT I'D GIVE IT A GO.

# I'm not saying it's shit at all.
Truthfully, I don't know 'cos I don't listen to it.

Just I don't really need a bulletin documenting when some bloke I don't know happens to be mentioned on air. On that radio station or in or on any other form of media.

Which seems a starkly obvious thing to say, but some people, it appears, think I need to know this.

Personally I wouldn't give a snifter of a flying nutshit if my own mother were mentioned on cocking Radio cocking bastard 4.

# I listen to Radio 4
as does our mother. She hasnt yet been mentioned on Radio 4.

I even listen to Gardeners question time - now who is the older out of the two of us.....
(, Tue 9 Oct 2007, 12:19, archived)
# Is it me?
You probably don't even know.

Last time I saw you you didn't, at least.
(, Tue 9 Oct 2007, 12:21, archived)
# well....
if it was a quiz on who was older i would have /win - but asking for specific years... thats a little more tricky. It involves all sorts of numbers and memory games.
(, Tue 9 Oct 2007, 12:22, archived)
# Here's a simplification for you...
x = my present age
y = your present age

x = y + 5

You see how it works?

Algebra: be afraid.

(, Tue 9 Oct 2007, 12:28, archived)
# aha, but algebra = fail
IF currentdate = 06/05 (greater than) 05/06
then x = y+4

else x = y+5

too far?

had to wordify the greater than due to coding issues. Im also not delcaring my variables..
