# I am off now.
I can only assume that, since it sorted itself out upon my arrival, the server will grind back to a halt now that I am gone.

Goodnight B3ta.

# I like this
Why is that wallpaper a pdf though? I'm scared to download it now.

# Sorry
As a mac user I prefer PDF wallpapers. Cleaner and much smaller files you see.

Heres a JPG version.

(, Tue 6 Nov 2007, 21:57, archived)
# Oh, I see.
That seems a little odd. I've only ever experienced PDFs as an ebook medium.
Still, it's all good if it works.

# mm,and the pdf viewer tends to lock up my browser for ages, which doesn't help
thanks for the jpeg!

# no probs
Heres a flipped over version if you have your icons on the left

# Have you drawn it
all vectory, so the PDF scales to larger resolutions without being a big file?
(, Tue 6 Nov 2007, 22:04, archived)
# Yep
I use illustrator so the PDF is smaller file size than the much smaller image size of the jpg - if that makes sense.

*goes over in head*

# Aren't vectors generally more memory-intensive than rasters though?
Or am I completely wrong about that?
(, Tue 6 Nov 2007, 22:11, archived)
# wrong I'm afraid
A circle will be made up of about 4 points while a picture will have thousands of pixels. If there are lots of effects like gradients and glows etc on a vector it might get large.

# Oooh, that's nice.
Explain PDF wallpapers to me though.
