For some reason, this reminds me of a pal from me old college who said if you fed birds some oats, they would expand inside of them and they would asplode.

I have yet to test this theory

I heard it was rice

Then I heard it with baking soda and bread.

I have tested the second, but to no avail.

Another one from same fella was that it's impossible to kick a pigeon

so he ran into a group of them, kicked out, and they flew away unscathed... except for one which went a bit limp : (

My brother's old flatmate used to be able to catch squirrels.

He was fast.

This boggles my mind

Along with people that could catch rabbits...it doesn't seem like humans could ever have been that capable/agile

in the 1700's oats did not exsist as a singular entity, only as a plural

its in johnsons dictionary, there is only a plural!
