I choose to picture him leaping the bridge, landing safely on the truck on the other side.
At least, that is the plan... sadly, while in mid-air, the giraffe is struck by the solitary fast moving train in the country, and doesn't actually hit the ground until the train arrives at Waverly Road Station, several hours later.

But because the train was testing out the new safety features,
the giraffe was caught on the new padding installed, and arrived safely having had a leisurely trip around the british countryside.
