On a semi-related note...
My Firefox has just reported that it has been consuming roughly 1.4GB of my system memory. Is this normal? Should I consult a medical professional?

A medical professional will not be able to help you
because you are not registered.

That's more than what games consume, are you running Oblivion in your browser or something?

Oblivion doesn't consume memory
it consumes THOUSANDS OF HOURS OF YOUR LIFE.

Don't forget your soul!
I never bother playing it properly, I just go round robbing everyone blind and then murder people. That's life though, eh?

When I first bought my copy
I was working towards a fairly reasonable deadline with a job I had. Two weeks later and I still hadn't done anything towards it, I'd just played Oblivion continuously, so I had to cram 2 weeks work into a couple of days. I played obsessively like that for over a month.

Thanks for the tip!
I shall plaster big fuck off laminated posters round the room reminding to Step Away From The Controller, Cos You'll End Up Fired You Plank! or something like that. :)

Haha
good luck with that :) I stopped noticing anything outside of oblivion, so the posters wouldn't have done me any good.

I use Firebug which
I've heard likes to eat memory like zombies love brains. BRAINS!
Also, using Google Maps seems to make the memory shoot up faster than PETER DOHERTY!
Did you see what I did there? I made a joke on the carpet

Me and Kk were on the way into a supermarket
and we saw some popcorn on the ground, and we decided it was "the joke about the popcorn".
So when we came out of the supermarket we stood and pointed at the popcorn and laughed and said, "haha, look, it's the joke about the popcorn!"
True story.
