# Poor clowns.
I for one am not scared of them, and think they get a bloody bad rap.

Yay for clowns. And yes, I have read IT.

# Horrible bloody things.

# Why?
Explain why.

# I had an incredibly vivid dream
about a clown when I was younger.
I was out carol singing (Never actually done it IRL, so don't know why) and all was going well.
Anyway, I saw these kids disappear around a corner, happily laughing away with a clown. When they went around the corner though, they started screaming.
I ran over to find out what had happened. The clown was gone and th children had been skinned.
I turn around and all my friends are gone.
The rest of the dream was basically me trying to escape from this psychotic clown.

I had this dream over and over again, and yet I'd never seen a film or read a book where clowns were evil, so I draw the conclusion that clowns really are evil, and made their way into my mind to torture me.

# Or it could just be a dream...
Andway, don't mind me, I'm scared of baked beans. Well, not scared, but they elicit the same effects in me as abject fear.

# I dislike baked beans anyway.
You're not missing out on much.

And yeh, it is only a dream, I'm not really a believer in the parnormal as such.

Clowns are still slightly sinister though... :p

# Cool.
I used to have a recurring dream about a vampire but even though it was scary, it always ended up with a melon fight so it was OK.

# I think the worst dream I had
was when I "woke up" and had this figure standing over me.
I wasn't scared at first, but fear mounted as it pulled back its hood and there stood the most disturbing figure I'd ever seen. The details are hazy, however, as this dream was so long ago.
It got right in close to me and I swear I could taste it's rotten breath on my face.
It then took some strange pleasure in stabbing me repeatedly as my dream faded into blackness.
I could feel each knifestroke..it was horrible.

Either that or the time I dreamt I was Hilary Duff

# They're usually vile, gaudy colours like 1980s Habitat furniture.
They smell of gin and steal children. They lay eggs in your hair and lick your lips when you sleep. They turn milk sour and speak French. Do you want me to carry on?

# My aunt was a clown for a bit when she was younger
and she's lovely.

# Please accept my apologies for tarring the evil bastards with the same brush.
I'm sure your aunt was the exception that proves the rule.

# It's a possibility.
I had clowns at my birthday parties when I was a kid though, and they never tried to eat me.

# You must be part clown yourself, then.
You say your Grandma was one?
You must have inherited her genes.

# The clown in IT was about the only realistic one I know of
;)
