which is clearer on the bigger version, but my choice of sky colour restricted the palette a bit and washed out some of the detail unfortunately.

so it's got butch-but-troubled men, kick-arse women, computers, secrets and memories, and a fair bit of violence, all set in a world where it's very dirty and rains at narratively convenient moments.

That's the difference!
Although the bad guys do wear goggles and the good guys do wear leather jackets occasionally, although the latter was done as a tribute to the early cyberpunk stuff.

and occasionally it's sunny (which might be more important!).
Cyberpunk was really a literary movement which had its time then styles changed. My book has lots of elements of Cyberpunk in it but I'm about a decade and a half late to be true Cyberpunk. Maybe it's 'cyberpunk' with a small 'c', or something.
You know, for someone who did a doctorate about William Gibson, I really should be able to answer that question more easily.
