I have only ever seen one zombie film, which is Shaun of the Dead and therefore doesnt really count.

they dont appeal to me in any way shape or form.
But although I have watched a lot of films in my time, and seem to be watching about 10 a week at the moment, there are so many "classic" films I have never seen. Including All the Star Wars, bar about half an hour of one of the new ones, Any of the Alien films, Top Gun, Cocktail or any of the soppy ones from the 80s.

are just about beginning to show their age in terms of effects, especially the first one.
If you're going to enjoy them I suggest watching them either alone or with max 1 other person (who knows how to shut up during the first film and not ruin the atmosphere), at night with the lights off.
I love those films, and want people to appreciate them. :D
And if you've not watched "The Shining" - do so, and watch it somewhere silent. five friend watching the shining will not enjoy it much, watch it alone in an otherwise empty house and it'll stay with you.
