JJ, can you think of any good cyberpunky rpg sort of games? i've recently played through most of my games and i'm looking for something like Deus Ex. any ideas?

# I think Deus Ex 2 was the last cyber-punk game out.
Unless you count stuff like Half Life 2, but that and all those like it are just sci-fi shooters.
(, Fri 16 May 2008, 16:42, archived)
# yeah have that
i was considering a replay but i don't remember it being much good

edit; or steampunk maybe, though i think arcanum is just about the only one isn't it?

# i've only got a pc and i'm not sure its up to spec
i think it might require vista. i have seen that there's an expansion pack for oblivion though...
(, Fri 16 May 2008, 16:52, archived)
# Just checked - it is out for PC
and no, doesn't require Vista - works on XP
(, Fri 16 May 2008, 16:56, archived)
# It does require
A DX10 compatible video card with shader model 3.0
There is a community fix to make it playable but it renders hideously.

this is the easiest way of testing your PC for new games.

# yeah my laptop won't run that :(

# It's a fantastic game
and is more steampunk than cyberpunk. A bit on the short side but very atmospheric.

If you want some old school then get back to fallout 2 ( whilst waiting for fallout 3 to arrive ) and if you can live without cyberpunk then get into planescape torment, still one of the best story driven CRPGs of all time.

There are a few good science driven mods for Neverwinter Nights original.
