
i borrowed my neighbour's odometer today and attached it to my bike because i planned a long ride. when i got home... 68 km! not bad, but bloody hell I'm tired now.
pic is from last year, but i was in the same spot today poking around. i brought my camera and took some shots at another location (to be posted later, i'm too tired to upload and edit them). i would have taken some pics there today but my batteries were dying and i was wobbly as it is.

it's a man-made (sort of) project. the land is a former brickworks and people have been greening it for over a decade - planting all indigenous plants and stocking local fauna, too. but, some dunderheads have inserted aquarium fish and turtles.
