# I've got general studies in the morning

So I'm going to bed soon.

I will have a mug of hot chocolate, and marmalade on toast.

I'm quite pleased of the nose I did here, and the reason the lady looks rather beaten up, is because the avatar that I was drawing, had these eyes.

# If in doubt, put 'General LEE', because it was a man AND a car.
*probability win*

edit: also, this picture is great, and good luck tomorrow. :)

# Pfft.
I failed my statistics.

On the other hand, we have the sheets for general studies anyway, it's going to be all about paying womens, and how we should get more money because we're smarter than boys on average and such.

# Dammit, I want 50 multiple choice questions on famous Generals!
*humpfs*

# I loved the maths and science paper.
The maths was piss easy, and for the question at the end, I got to talk about how the earth could be destroyed by meteors and how we can prevent this from happening.

Most of my friends talked about fat people instead =(

METEORS AND COMETS
I said stuff like nuclear weapons would not be so good because then the fallout could still fall to earth attached to the bits of rock.

# These are true facts.
You are officially qualified to hover with your finger over the button for all eternity.

# General studies, the easiest exam since ICT.
I've just been drawing with pencils for the first time in about four years.
In conclusion trying to work out the reflections on the latex of imaginary breasts is quite difficult.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:02, archived)
# Actually, ICT isn't the easiest.
They trick you in the questions, half of the questions are about management, though the ones which are "Name three things you can do to change this logo" are easier than GCSE work.

# Burn it, do swears on it, CDC it.
A*
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:05, archived)
# I was speaking of the GCSE, primarily because I couldn't see why anyone would do it for A-Level.
It was sodding awful, the most pointless and tedious coursework ever.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:05, archived)
# And it didn't get any better for A-level =(
It got worse, and more tedious.

But I seriously couldn't think of any other subjects I'd want to do apart from Maths, which I then grew sick of, but have completed to A-level, and Graphic Design, which I'm going to the London College of Communication to do a foundation year in, in September =)

Chemistry was just to annoy the teachers, and ICT was because I like computers. ICT is management though, they've only just put Computing on the curriculum. =(
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:08, archived)
# I got an A* in my ICT GCSE, you bastard.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:04, archived)
# that is quite the nose success there.
i like the kohled eyes.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:03, archived)
# It's more punched eyes.
And I did them the wrong way =( I tried colouring them with purple, when it would have looked better if I'd done them normally, but a bit puffy, then gone over them in purple and blues.

# :)
I seem to remember General Studies phased out on account of how crap it was by the time I was thirteen only to be replaced by lots of Thatcher's mauling of education in the eighties

We had a tough time comming home to ZX Spectrums to discuss our woes
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:04, archived)
# It's Compulsory.
=(
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:05, archived)
# It fucking should be, it's the only one you'll EVER use again.
(Pub quizzes)
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:06, archived)
# Haha, no.
General studies taught me nothing I didn't already know.

And I would like to think, due to my obsessive wikipediaing, I helped my school house to win our last two quizzes.

Phobos and Deimos are brothers, the sons of Mars the God, and the names of the two moons which orbit it :D
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:10, archived)
# Compulsory if you do three A-Levels instead of four presumably?
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:07, archived)
# No, at my school you HAVE to do it.
Either that, or critical thinking, but they kicked people off Critical thinking and onto General Studies this year.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:09, archived)
# I don't even know what Critical thinking is.
Just calling people cunts presumably.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:11, archived)
# I think it's where you look at cases all lesson long
and decide "according to my morals, and logical thinking" that people should go in the slammer.

I think anyway.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:12, archived)
# For fuck's sake, as if The Daily Mail existing wasn't bad enough.
I had to do General Studies because I dropped Geography when I realised it was shit.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:14, archived)
# That's "Pendantry" .
A very un-critical form of thinking.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:16, archived)
# only thing pendan'ts ever get right is hubris
:)

(don't ask me to explain what I mean by this because in all honesty, I haven't got one shitting clue :D )

# for moral reasons, I call pendants, pendants
and they know

and they twitch

because they have to correct it

but

they know, if they do, they will have fallen into my trap! AHAH!! HAHAHA!! AHAHAHHAHAH!
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:26, archived)
# mwahahahaha!
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:29, archived)
# I know ^_^
That's why I did it, silly :]

That and the fact that it's not so much pedantry as OCD.

# Obsolete Cunt Disorder?
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:32, archived)
# If you think cunts are obsolete there's something wrong with you.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:36, archived)
# I didn't know you were such a patent homophobe.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:41, archived)
# I thought you'd fall into that trap!
Just because you may or may not be homosexual does not mean vaginas are obsolete :]
(, Tue 17 Jun 2008, 0:13, archived)
# I believe it is no longer required in our society

stayed up late studying many nights without any hot chocolate, and marmalade on toast . . .

You've got the wrong lass.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:04, archived)
# I wrote about nuclear explosions and chernobyl in my general studies essay. I actually got an average grade as well :D
Utterly failed on anything that required thinking using numbers, though. I can't comprehend numbers at all.

Nice headface you've drawn there.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:06, archived)
# Why thank you.
One of my friends is terrible with numbers, she's ace at loads of other stuff though.

COMETS. :D

# when we did our General Studies AS exams
We assigned all of us a word that we had to work in to an essay. Mine was blancmange, I made a really unnecessarily colorful metaphor likening the European Union's bureaucracy to it.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:08, archived)
# Haha, nice.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:11, archived)
# i too have general studies
i havent been all year so the exams are fun :D
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:14, archived)
# Haha, awesome.
I wish I could have done that.

Instead I had to go, so I argued religion and such at people, and drew a lot.

# Remember
1 Shakespeare
2 Bach
3 Long Shore Drift
4 the verb Etre
5 cogito ergo sum

I enjoyed general studies, it was like 15 to one.
(, Mon 16 Jun 2008, 23:32, archived)
# Haha.
We've done arts and humanities paper. this one is on politics, my worst subject.
