i don't understand how you can confuse blanks with real bullets, i didn't understand this when it was brandon lee and i don't get it now. i fired plenty of guns in my time and i would be pretty certain if i was loading live ammo or not.

the gun was used to fire a real shot before the scene, the bullet lodged in the barrel. Then when the blank rounds were used the force dislodged the bullet and it hit him.

how the shitting christ do you not notice a bullet lodging in the barrel? a piece of lead travelling at 700mph suddenly stopping in the barrel would make you aware of its presence. hmm....
why were the sequels so godawful? its not fair.

it might be considered a bit of an error.
The round is not travelling at 700mph when it is fired, only once it leaves the chamber.

but they were not using blanks, just dummys (so a blank contains powder, but has no projectile, but a dummy is just an ignition cap) so there was absolutely nothing to go wrong, except, of course, that a round was squibbed in the barrel and even then it was bloody unlucky that it did the damage it did.
A round propelled by a cap would not be travelling much faster than you can throw it.
