# The day the world changed forever

# :D
I think I recognise the peas.

# I can't seem to find butternut squash anywhere.
I'm wondering if it's season over here, I'm getting miffed.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:01, archived)
# no we don't!
"Every year vegetarians around the world observe World Vegetarian Day to celebrate a healthy, compassionate and environmentally friendly way of life."

that's every day for me. well, except for the compassion.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:01, archived)
# I think it's bollocks myself.

one day a year doesn't mean shit, it's what you do on the other three hundred and sixty four
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:02, archived)
# yep.
i guess it's good for newbs and kids, mostly. get exposed to people who actually know how to cook properly, confirm that they're not alone. some people need affirmation.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:07, archived)
# hehehheh
I think I see your point:
www.wikihow.com/Celebrate-World-Vegetarian-Day

as usual we can blame the Yanks for this puffed-up non-event
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:11, archived)
# gah.
there's a neat vegfest here at our harbourfront in summer. i didn't go this year but it's laid back and there are some good things - cheap and free food, free music (not all hippie/new age either), organic farmers and some nifty cookery tools. also good for a pamphlet they put out listing all the local veg restos.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:14, archived)
# I occasionally eat vegetarian food, despite my love of meat just because some vegetarian food is delicious.
I'll be having four cheese tortellini and perhaps a pepper and spring onion salad, but the date is coincidental. QUIT SHOVING THIS FAKE HOLIDAY SHIT DOWN OUR THROATS, AMERICA.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:19, archived)
# oh, if I got the day off work I would be all for it.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:44, archived)
# Also: Large amount of rainforests are cleared every day so that we can plant more soy.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:08, archived)
# I finally got around to reading shitrags yesterday.
It was a good read, and I am sad at the outcome, as I'm sure you were too, and didn't realise how traumatised you were at the time. Good work :)
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:11, archived)
# There may be more soon
The weather has heated up and I thought I smelled some shitrags on the weekend.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:14, archived)
# Uh oh.
I didn't realise how genuinely troubled you were, it was a pretty intense read, I have to admit. I wouldn't have the balls to delve deeper, and I'd probably have had all the paranoia with it but not enough courage to fight it. I hope Johnny Homeless has moved up in the world and it's just a coincidence though.

Unless he perhaps found a Jenny Homeless, and they're doubling the daily load.

# GENETICALLY MODIFIED SOY?
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:14, archived)
# IF THAT ANGERS YOU MORE, THEN YES
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:15, archived)
# Mass murder to drive down demand is a much more enviromentally friendly option
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:17, archived)
# Anyway, vegetarians use much less of our water resources
it takes a lot more water to make a pound of meat that a pound of seitan and beans.

I like the rain forests but you know, I like being able to drink water in the future as well.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:18, archived)
# Because water is completely destroyed when things drink it, and vanishes from the earth.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:24, archived)
# Well if you like water with hazerdous waste and sewage in it so much why don't you marry it!
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:43, archived)
# If you really cared about this you'd have stopped washing, like me.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:48, archived)
# Clean water is only an issue because so many of us fuckers are drinking it, we've had sustainable drinking water for hundreds of thousands of years.
So yes, the mass murder option is the most environmentally friendly one so far.

(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:25, archived)
# REIGN IN BLOOD.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:29, archived)
# Not just the fuckers
the fuckers food, the fuckers paper, etc.

If the fuckers changed their habits the fucker would have better chance of surviving.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:42, archived)
# So, we could give up having nice things, and washing,
or we could figure out cheap desalination.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:47, archived)
# Well, I think the idea is that whatever works works
from what I've read on this topic is that right now there's a need to start using our resources more responsibly all across the board. If a new technology emerges, awesome, hoepfully the captains of industry will see their economic advantage in developing such a technology, but we have to respond to the situation with what we have at hand, right?

Although I have sense we are going to start disagreeing based on political beliefs and I have homework to do, so I'm leaving my position where it stands.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:55, archived)
# Bottom line:
We're all fucked.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:57, archived)
# I had this great idea for cheap desalination myself actually
but I couldn't find anywhere to write it down, because I was saving paper. Then I got distracted and forgot it, because I was all itchy, because it's been years since I had a shower.

(Good luck with your homework, I am just messing around. Incidentally if you know where I can host an MP3 quickly that would be nice.)
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 2:58, archived)
# quickly:
rapidshare?

Otherwise e-mail cr3, he gave me the upload coadz to his website to host some stuff.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 3:05, archived)
# I already took the second option
but I fear he may have decided not to stay up at 3 am this particular night. I guess I'll be patient and post my shitty mash-up tomorrow.

(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 3:40, archived)
# Oh yes.
Alright.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 4:56, archived)
# most importantly
the fuckers have to stop fucking.

Less fuckers, more resources to go around.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 3:16, archived)
# More fuckers, faster problem solving.
Provided the existing fuckers are ready for the new fuckers. This is a bit complicated actually.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2008, 3:19, archived)
# IT'S A HALLMARK HOLIDAY WITHOUT THE CARDS, YO.

but what're you going to do with the squirrels?
