# Hey hey
I'd like to take you up on that offer of a 3d shape if it's still open... what I'm after is a very smooth sphere wrapped with a flat, single-colour texture. I've already tried .obj format, so if you can save to some other 3d format I'd really appreciate your help.
Edit: the list of file formats PS can use is .u3d, .3ds, .obj, .kmz, and Collada

# Texture and colour are not the same thing.
Sounds like you want a really high-poly count sphere.
But there are a number of ways to map a texture to it.
I'll make a few examples a little later this eve and gaz.

# Cool, thanks.
What's most important to me is that a) it's smooth, so yeah a high poly count, and b) that it has a flat texture mapped onto it, because that will show up as a separate editable layer in PS, but if there's no texture mapped onto it I can't create a texture layer for it in PS.
