it meant i had a proper childhood, i think it's a shame that kids want to be older than they are. being a kid is the best thing ever, i'm glad i wasn't a pisshead hanging around at a bus stop.

i used to stay in and drink with my dad, his logic being hed rather have me drinking a few in the house where im not going to get into trouble, or be an obnoxious little cunt, than out on the street. As a result Ive always treated drinking with respect, and never once felt the need to pretend to be any more mature than I am cos ive got a bottle of white lightning on tescos fuckin car park.

The only recollection I have of being 14 and in posession of booze was a friend's birthday. My parents gave me 2 cans of beer and wrapped them in newspaper for me to keep them cold.

Most of the kids at the party had copious quantities acquired from sources various. Then they put on a horror flick which scared the shit out of me and I ended up spending a couple of hours in the kitchen talking with my friend's old man :(

I still haven't quite recovered from the embarrassment.
