# RPSS - Real Photo Stopmotion Sunday
(, Sun 2 Nov 2008, 23:11, archived)
# How lovely!
I should try stopmotion again. It's very fun, if very time-consuming.

# the end result is worth it :D
/is in preproduction on a 10 min stop motion film.. doesn't need anything to put him off blog

# as am i
try to set a quota for yourself each day, at least 30 seconds of footage. i personally get discouraged easily so chugging along is the best answer.

# and as we can see from my mess here
having constant lighting is a bonus. might build a little light box to shoot my scenes in
(, Sun 2 Nov 2008, 23:29, archived)
# i have the same problem
don't ever shoot stop motion in natural light unless it's intended or unavoidable; any light works, even a desk lamp, but the main thing is to make sure whatever camera you're using is not set to autofocus or autoexposure; that's what will come back to bite you.

# it wont be getting done for a while as i'm
buggering off to canada for 6 months.. and I need a lighting rig and a view assist camera.. so I'm not sure whether to do it when i can afford those.. or leave it and do it as my major project when i go back to uni next year... decisions, decisions.

but gaz me or similar when yours is done.. I love a bit of stop motion me :D

# what are you working on in canada?
is it a one-off production or is it a job?
(, Sun 2 Nov 2008, 23:32, archived)
# lol..
no the two things are seperate. i'm saving for canada so i can;t afford to get those things i need for the project.

but I am going to go work in a hotel in the middle of the rocky mountains..
