Why they don't just use Imagemagick or something to auto-optimize(sic) the images as they're uploaded, and possibly provide a link automatically to a full version. Avoid all this nonsense in the first place.

Anyway - amusing animation and still possible to see what it is :)

but you can't use Imagemagick on gifs and preserve the animation.

At least you never used to be able to, it has been a while since I played with anything like that.
