Almost as unfunny as the real thing
Man, I hate my work mouse. And I hate when my boss decides to walk back and forth in the corridor behind me. And I hate that I'm where that's even an issue. Oh well, if I keep reading B3ta, that may go away :)

because the poor bastard that draws them
has to come up with six strips a week - and a double length strip on Sunday. The hummus well is not bottomless.

Calvin & Hobbes
the exception that proves the rule? EDIT: Bloody hell. If I'd scrolled down a bit more I may have avoided looking like a twat...

Because they haved to be as generic and uncontroversial
as possible to avoid offending any readers. Given how easily offended most newspaper readers seem to be, the results were inevitable. And thus Charlie Brown was born. I can't think of many exceptions but Calvin and Hobbes is one.

I think Calvin and Hobbes is the exception
because Bill Watterson knew when to stop. Those cartoons were fucking aces.
