i have that same effect with light fittings :D
on a good day i managed to pop the lights at work - 3 fluorescent tubes, then tripped the main circuit breaker switch after putting new tubes/starter motors in, popped my bedroom light, the bathroom and then the kitchen

Yeah... The Mist is one of those movies I'm afraid, I've seen it twice and it still comes out wrong in the end.

There are some wide deviations from the book. I would go as far to say it's a bit darker than the book, but I think it's worth the watch.

I don't have a problem with films departing from books as a rule, unless they're shit. My argument for not reading the Harry Potter books stems vaguely from this.
