I'm actually quite excited by the idea
I mean, it's all just opportunistic pandering (just like any other politician would do) and it could be better spent on infrastructure but as a single white employed male I've never been offered free money by the government before.
Well, I say free money when it's taxes the next generation will pay but I still want my nine fiddy.
Yes. I see. That did work out in some ways. There was some movement of funds from cold assets. Postal savings converted to corp bond in tag-along. Hard to say if it was a or the factor. Ownership rules for foreign investment changed at that time too. FUCK YOU, NOW MY BRAIN IS NOT ON IMAGES!!!

True, Germany's pre-war stimulus worked also.
"Absolute stimulus comes from the barrel of a gun"....
edit: but for modern day Japan, there packages haven't revived their economy.

I got the $1000 chirstmas one as well. And as intended I spent it on a laptop
whether that actually does anything to stimulate the economy or not I don't know.

the system would sort itself out in a generation or two.
but for a while i'd love to look at the humiliated type-a assholes as they're led about on bits of string by people who are busy picking cigarette butts out of their armpits.
