It would have worked fine if the redness was removed but I really liked how it looked, and I thought a square block of white around it (JPG style) altho rescuing the shading, it woulda spoilt the 'sitting on my screen' effect.
Still, it's still half the recommended high end for an animation, so I figured it was middle ground and I'd get away with it if I said sorry! ;)

it to be transparent around the edges. Dong this in gif reduces the quality as gif can't cope well with transparent gradients. Doing it as jpg removes the transparency so doing it as png breaks the board and he needs a spanking ;)
