who was a servant or something to the demon king Azathoth, but I don't remember seeing Zalgo in any Lovecraft, and I've read a fair amount of his stuff.

Plus, "He comes" followed by someone transforming into a demon is a bit less subtle than Lovecraft's stuff anyway.
