# *Approves*
So I guess Im resigned to having to order Adobe Fireworks CS4 these days to make animations?

I know i've muttered this ten thousand times, but I simply want to clear this up and order the software tonight; I miss doing thrilling things like this^

# God i hate fireworks
and i have to use it 90% of the time when ive got photoshop sat there :(
(, Thu 16 Apr 2009, 21:55, archived)
# I don't understand why you can't
use photoshop like everybody else. You just need an old copy of Ulead gif animator if you really can't figure out how to get gifs as layers into tattyshop.
Don't buy anything yet. I'll gaz you with info when I've found some software and seriously don't buy fireworks without using the 30 day trial because you may not like it at all, not one bit. It's nothing like an adobe product.

# I'm really glad Adobe didn't fuck with it.
I've been using it for quite a long time now and don't really want to have to learn tattyshop's versions of everything.

# I see your point on that (i use both extensively)
I just wish they'd have a stab at making it fatser. My mac is a beast and it struggles with fireworks. Click and resize ends up in spinny rainbow pizza so often, but photoshop and indesign etc are smooth as butter :S

# The "Spinning beach ball of death" you mean :)

# ahhhhhh

grrrrrrrr

# I'll sort you out with that
but it may be tomorrow, bit snowed under now.

# oooh that would be nice
thanks

shame to waste my $49 otherwise and its good software

# Importing gifs is my problem mate
I simply can't do it, in the old days I used to open a gif in Image ready and save as a .psd file and then move over to Photoshop; it's simply not possible any more. But cheers

# This is why i'm so happy i have plain old CS at home
ahhh i miss imageready at work :(
(, Thu 16 Apr 2009, 22:04, archived)
# CS3 and 4 windows versions
allow you to import gif and video as layers. It's easy. Somehow it's not a supported feature for mac.
(, Thu 16 Apr 2009, 22:08, archived)
# but there are plenty
of gif programs will allow you to export a gif as layers. You just then open the layers on tattyshop.

Anyway. I'm on it.
