She didn't come across well at all, sounded like one of the "political correctness gone mad!" Daily Mail brigade. But it's easy for our generation to criticise older generations, we were brought up in a much less overtly racist environment. My old gran was horrifically racist but I thought little less of her for it. I dare say that our generation will be guilty of some sort of ism that younger generations will tut and shake their heads about.

Nice picture, for someone who isn't particularly famous I could tell immediately who it was supposed to be.

When it's someone of that age group I tend to be a little embarassed and amused by racism, while if it's someone of working age I'm saddened. I suppose it means we've made some progress at least.

I think there's a concerted effort on the part of gift shops to stick two fingers up to the PC brigade

Personally I find it all a bit sad.

The bloke DOES look like a golliwog.
Not that I'd say that on telly... oh, yeah, but neither did she... she said it in a private conversation

# quite right - what an insensitive, shiftless and selfish old cow she is
You watch... when her mother dies and insensitive remarks are made, there'll be calls from her corner for some simple respect and decency.

Nice shop, Beau Bo d'Or. Loved your earlier CCTV one, too.

# I love the bit Frankie Boyle did on his DVD.
"Gordon Brown has opened a public debate on whether Margaret Thatcher should have a state funeral. The only debate most people are having is if she should be dead before we bury her...."
