Using Processing to analyse the image, and throw out a data file for Context Free, which you can then render.
It's all a bit flaky, and prone to crashing, and it doesn't like the aspect ratio of some pictures, but I quite like the effect.

As a political aside, walked past a Christian Party poster at lunch and they rag on the Conservatives a bit. At the end of it their tagline on their poster is

"put your X next to the + (the cross that Jesus was crucified on - geddit?!) not next to the *swastika*"

I'm not the Conservatives biggest fan but calling them a bunch of Nazis is a bit fookin harsh!

I think what they are trying to do is get the 'floaters' by saying don't vote BNP vote us.

There's gonna be a LOT of votes going begging in these elections, and there is a genuine fear the BNP will profit from it.
