# I hate that film...
'that film' being Titanic. I wish I'd walked out of it when I saw it at the cinema but the sexy lady friend I was with thought it was a very moving experience. Dullard.

# It is indeed a terrible waste of time.
I've seen it only once, and I spent the entire time asking dad "when do they hit the iceberg?"

# one of my dad's favourite 'jokes'
"I didn't bother going to see [titanic][passion of the christ][and so on] ... I already know what happens in the end..."
*hilarity ensues*

# they should have called it
"the whipping of the christ" or "jesus fucking wept"

# Hahaha yes
I like Peter Griffin's similar joke in Family Guy
'Like the time I predicted the ending of Wild Hogs. [flashback] "This film's gonna suck."'

# I found it moving in terms of my bowel

# But wasn't the whole point of the film that it was for the ladyfolk?
(, Tue 2 Jun 2009, 10:15, archived)
# possibly
and I don't have a problem with films marketed to a specific gender... I enjoyed watching Practical Magic... it's just when they're held up as a pivotal moment in the history of cinema I despair a little.

# I went to see it with a Norwegian friend as part of our film studies unit. We both hated it, but her comment was
"I don't think they made enough of the human panic."

"Oh yeah. 'Cos you know aaall about human panic, don't you."

"Erm ... I had several friends on the Scandinavian Star."

"Ah."
