# It's called
"animation" ;)

I simply made 2 layers, the background and the wooyay, and then tweened the wooyay's movements in ImageReady.

# hhmmm
tweened ..ive seen that word some where.

but HOW did you add an item that wasnt in the frame to begin with?

# That's what graphics programs are for
You load one picture, and play with it, cutting and pasting and stuff...

What program are you using, let's start there - once we know that, it'll be easier to answer your questions without sounding like a total smartarse.

# OK
im using imageready.

now i load a gif file in...lets say

how do i add a twinkle to his wink. when there isnt one?

heheh i picked something easy...you know for starters.

# Ah, editing pre-existing GIFs
When you load a GIF in ImageReady, each frame is given it's own layer - you need to either modify the layers that corespond to the frames you want to change, or make new layers and ad them to the frames you want the twinkle in.

Without filling the board with text, and spending the necessary weeks typing the posts in, it's hard to explain fully here - I'd suggest reading all the installed help on how Photoshop and ImageReady work, and then googling up more information, and maybe drop by this place for lots of in-depth ejumakatshunal stuff about how it all works.

# thats the thing
the site has everything but imageready :(
(, Sun 23 Mar 2003, 19:50, archived)
# Then read the Photoshop stuff
How to modify "frames" is what you're stuck on, and that's the same more or less between IR and PS...

What would be easier is making your own animations, not editing other people's - that's actually harder to do.
