I did that to my own screen with a permanent marker :(

Top tip! A small amount of normal toothpaste applied gently with a cotton bud removes it almost instantly*

*and leaves your screen minty-fresh

Some good alcohol based screen cleaner will remove permanent ink without damaging shiny screens.

I did something not wholly dissimilar the other week. I was sat poking a pen into a gang plug socket for 10 minutes before I realised what I was doing.
