I lived there for 4 years and it still looks pretty grim when I drive through it.

But I could only afford to rent shit-holes when I was a student.
Harborne is much nicer.

I only chose smelly poke as it was cheap and right close to the uni

My ex lived on like the outskirts bit past sainsburys and one of the parks and it was nice.
The main bit, isnt as nice :(

Never mind, it's easy to escape from with the trains and buses.

Plus there's some nice walks along the canal and Cannon Hill Park isn't too far away with all it's lovely furry Red Pandas and Lemmings and things.

Not a massive fan of the Pear.

I only seemed to go there for Medbar and Gothshite, both of which were pretty rubbish.

the soak has free pool on a tuesday, that's pretty good

I don't remember the Soak having pool, must be a new thing.

I used to quite like the Goose but it's always rammed.
Again, you have to go to Harborne/Edgebaston for the nice pubs like The Plough and The White Swan

Gunnies was alrite, but dirty.
