I've been re-reading Theft by Peter Carey I and thought I'd try to make a detail from one
of the paintings he talks about, or at least the way I imagine it would look.
I don't have Painter here, so I've played around in Photoshop.

Well yeah. I wanted the impasto effect but the layer emboss was looking really grim and it was no fun to play with.

Interesting idea to create fictional paintings.
Someone, other than as prop for movie, must have done so before.
