I could never get the hang of "clay" modelling without the tactile feedback. Plus you can't lump it up and throw it at the ceiling.

it's annoying not being able to just smoosh the right angle and pressure you want exactly, or just jab at it with a toothbrush, but it's getting there.
The less said about ZBrush and its imbred approach to interface and navigation the better in my mind! - although it does have some lovely new features
