# With so much talent crammed into one little body
it wouldn't NEED a head.

God, I'm going to go and listen to some Nirvana now. And then maybe some early Queens of the Stone Age to get the joy of Grohl's drumming.
(, Sat 5 Dec 2009, 11:58, archived)
# Did Grohl drum with Queens of the Stone Age?
I didn't know this.
(, Sat 5 Dec 2009, 12:00, archived)
# First album, I think
I'm just going to check that, actually, but I'm sure I'm right.

Edit: I lie, it appears it was only on Songs for the Deaf. I'm surprised, I thought he'd done more with them. AH well, it's worth listening through to QotSA again anyway.

Or maybe I'll listen to Fatso Jetson instead :3
(, Sat 5 Dec 2009, 12:09, archived)

(, Sat 5 Dec 2009, 12:11, archived)
# It had a couple of good tracks admittedly, but it's not the best thing he's done to my mind.
In fairness it's been a long time since I've played it.
(, Sat 5 Dec 2009, 12:23, archived)
# He did on the Songs for the Deaf album.
He does guest duties on Killing Joke's 2003 self-titled album as well.
(, Sat 5 Dec 2009, 12:01, archived)
# I used to love Killing Joke - saw them in their latter years at the Leadmill in Sheffield

# You'd probably laugh and point and sneer
but I shall do so before the weekend is out. Alas, at the minute I appear to be on a commercial emo jag, but in time I shall finally tire of it and move to pastures new.

# The band was fine but the concept of Malcolm McClaren's puppet band was bad
I preferred The Clash, UK Subs, Buzzcocks etc. But I have to admit without The Sex Pistols not much would have come of Punk.
(, Sat 5 Dec 2009, 12:02, archived)
# You're right that without them the punk scene would've never kicked off as it did - I still cannot stand them.
Punk-wise I tend to stick with Rudimentary Peni, Flux of Pink Indians, Void and Urinals.
(, Sat 5 Dec 2009, 12:05, archived)
# Oo Flux of Pink Indians
I remember they played The Marples back in the early 80's
(, Sat 5 Dec 2009, 12:07, archived)
# :3 I'm not a big fan of punk, but a few acts seem to always catch my attention.
(, Sat 5 Dec 2009, 12:48, archived)
# It's a pity that the punk ideaology was a hundred times cooler than the music
(, Sat 5 Dec 2009, 12:46, archived)
# In many ways yes.
Although there was some great bands, just an awful lot of trashy crap bands.
(, Sat 5 Dec 2009, 12:49, archived)
# Vaguely related
I saw The Damned supporting Motorhead the other week, I hated the pop stuff but surprisingly the live gig was much much better.
