With so much talent crammed into one little body
it wouldn't NEED a head.
God, I'm going to go and listen to some Nirvana now. And then maybe some early Queens of the Stone Age to get the joy of Grohl's drumming.

Did Grohl drum with Queens of the Stone Age?
I didn't know this.

First album, I think
I'm just going to check that, actually, but I'm sure I'm right.
Edit: I lie, it appears it was only on Songs for the Deaf. I'm surprised, I thought he'd done more with them. AH well, it's worth listening through to QotSA again anyway.

If you haven't already, try Them Crooked Vultures.

Average stoner-rock to my ears. I'll try again later though.
Or maybe I'll listen to Fatso Jetson instead :3

It had a couple of good tracks admittedly, but it's not the best thing he's done to my mind.
In fairness it's been a long time since I've played it.

He did on the Songs for the Deaf album.
He does guest duties on Killing Joke's 2003 self-titled album as well.

If you have the time or care, send me a list of bands/artists you enjoy - maybe I'll be able to recommend you something.

You'd probably laugh and point and sneer
but I shall do so before the weekend is out. Alas, at the minute I appear to be on a commercial emo jag, but in time I shall finally tire of it and move to pastures new.

The band was fine but the concept of Malcolm McClaren's puppet band was bad
I preferred The Clash, UK Subs, Buzzcocks etc. But I have to admit without The Sex Pistols not much would have come of Punk.

You're right that without them the punk scene would've never kicked off as it did - I still cannot stand them.
Punk-wise I tend to stick with Rudimentary Peni, Flux of Pink Indians, Void and Urinals.

Oo Flux of Pink Indians
I remember they played The Marples back in the early 80's

It's a pity that the punk ideaology was a hundred times cooler than the music
