# I think this can be labeled at every delivery company (especially royal mail)
I live in my own house, yet I had to have all my Christmas mail sent to my bloody parents place as postie decided it would be better to leave hundreds of pounds worth of good on my doorstep rather than leave me a card. My house is on a bloody main road where god knows how many people walk past! THANKS ROYAL MAIL

# While you were out, we:
Left this package from Amazon - whicj is probably books - out on your doorstep - in the pouring rain
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 9:51, archived)
# royal mail are fucking godlike in comparison
they will leave things with neighbours, simply return the parcel to the office where you can collect it, or if its a nice day, leave it tucked away nicely out of site by your back door (obviously only works if in a neighbourhood unlikely to rifle through your stuff).
DHL have been fucking me around since last Thursday, I could have driven to the place sending me the thing 4 times by now

# Our Postie is brilliant
We've got him a Christmas Present and card

He knows to leave things in the Recycle bin (dry CLEAN and saFE) or round the back under cover

we get interesting notes about it's location

The last 5 things I had delivered were worth over £40 each, they were sat in nice O HAI IM A GAME LOL obvious packaging, yet they were just propped against my door JUST OFF THE BLOODY STREET. Would ut have been that hard to put them behind my plant pots beside the friggin door?! Or better still, take them back, I have NO problem with going to collect things.
(, Wed 23 Dec 2009, 9:54, archived)
# but they weren't nicked?

My postie is very good, I tipped him £10 this year (put it inside a christmas card), thanked him for his efforts and shook his hand, he was quite choaked up.

DHL and Citylink must have the tightest delivery targets as they drive like utter nutjobs

# This really pisses me off.
Why can't people just send stuff by Royal Fail? At least you can go get the fucking thing yourself.

Luckily, yesterday, I was in my house for about 30 minutes at lunchtime when a package was re-delivered for the third time. Luckily, the stars aligned and I was able to sign for it.
