Birdman was the worst thing I've seen in ages. A massive disappointment as I was really looking forward to seeing it.
There were a couple of good(ish) moments but not enough to redeem it and make me stop begrudging its very existence by the time I was halfway through.

I thought it was fantastic, like an exceptionally well executed stage play
terrific performances from all cast members, thoroughly recommended.
But if you don't like actory stuff and want muscle men shooting bad guys it's not for you.

I really didn't get it to be well executed though.
I understand the stage comparison as there is the very defined sense of space it's all taking place in and has a ring of Mamet or Dogville to it in that way. I just don't think it was pulled off in a way that felt satisfying to view.
Did anyone else really struggle to hear the early dialogue too? Maybe that was the fault of the cinema I viewed it in and not the film itself.
