This is a normal post What I want to know is how the fuck they work out what pure british DNA is to start with to say that guy is 30% British

Nationality is a social construct, it's not in your dna
They can spot genetic variations that appeared in regions, but that bleeds across borders all the time.
Partly why the use of DNA testing was dropped by the borders agency a few years ago

And also the idea that the whole world will become friends when we discover the diversity of our DNA is moronic. Humans will always find stuff to fight about, regardless of nationality, race or creed.

This is a normal post The British, especially, are mongrels
Anyone with even a vaguely seaworthy boat stopped off in Britain to trade, shag, colonise, invade and add to the language.

And they're fucking aware of it. Either that guy was really REALLY stupid,or he's reading a script written by someone who hasn't actually met any of them.

This is a normal post They can't.
They are wilfully misrepresenting their results to get people to buy their test.

What these tests look for are snips of DNA which appear in different populations today. So you might have a piece of code embedded in your genome which commonly appears in the British population today, but this doesn't mean that your ancestors were necessarily British... largely because 'being British' doesn't mean anything genetically. What it means is that a population of people you're more closely related to ended up in Britain.

Ultimately we all originated in the same place (almost certainly Africa) and this tribalism we call Nationalism is just an excuse to feel different from, or hate another group of people.
