This is a normal post I still don't get the kerfuffle
There seem to be people determined to hate it, and some of them are sexists, no doubt, but there also seem to be people determined to say that anyone who thinks it's going to be shit (or just that it's a bit pointless) is a sexist.

I don't really see the point of it and think the trailer looks a bit shit. Does that make me a misogynist?

This is a normal post I can sum up my dislike/hatred of this movie in one phrase
"Hollywood remakes of classic movie, especially those made within the last 30 years are lazy, grubby, money-grabbing exercises with little to no artistic merit and that are, almost without exception, pale imitiations of the original"

I don't care if they cast some animated badgers as the Ghostbusters, it's going to be shite.

This is a normal post I think the kerfuffle is beyond stupid (making it hard to make a fair judgement of the reboot and the original too), but I also think the original is a great film
(my favourite part being the bit where the containment facility is shut down and you get this great skyline shot of NYC + eerie music + pink orbs flying around + Sigourney doing her best possessed-but-erotic thing)

I'm hoping that the new one will be great instead of merely good / competent in a night-at-the-museum sense, but nothing I've seen so far hints at much ambition (just a retread of the original minus any of the more subtle / sophisticated aspects)

And PG-12 / whatever rating = we won't get Kristen Wiig calling Slimer a little cunt, which would have been nice
