Robins are proper bolshy birds. They come as close as they like to you. They know that you will try and feed them. Through them a few maggots, they collect fly off and back within 10 minutes looking for more.

That's all I remember about a book/something on telly about robins. Whenever I see the robin in our back garden I say "fiercely territorial" in my best wildlife documentary voice.
