I'm a Darwin award waiting to happen!
I made this!
Hello! I've been tinkering with scratch built RC tracked vehicles for a while now and I've finally made something that has a good shot at accidentally taking me out and thought I'd share the madness. I could always rent it out as a portable vasectomy machine! :-)

I watched the video and for some reason the first word that came to mind was "degloving".

I fell off of it the other day
I dropped the remote, the batteries fell out and it sat spinning madly trying to do just that . It was comedy gold but not something I'd recommend.

Dare I suggest a fail-safe might be in order?
Other than that, bloody great - I'm not sure what it is but the way it moves is proper sinister!

You are correct and sensible in equal measure.
There is something a bit worrying about it, especially in person. The other half suggested that I ride it while she controlled it. I politely declined. :-)

if it wasn't for a fundamental design flaw, you could use it to sort out those unruly.bushes...

Didn't Tandy sell some plastic grabby tatty tank like this in the 80s?
I can find the Radio Shack 'Iron Claw', but can't remember if it was the same thing. I think perhaps I got the look of it confused with their long-running robot arm.

That's a new one on me
I've not seen that before, I could have just bought one of those and saved myself a bunch of time, lol!

That reminds me..
I built something similar a while ago that would give it a run for its money.

I think they would rather demolish it.
I love the tracked one, but I think you need to work on the speed of your linear actuators though! Not going to catch any knackers with a slow claw no matter how fast the tracks are...
